Handling of Personal Information

With respect to the handling of personal information we, Soga Law Office (hereafter "SLO"), obtain or hold, we will comply with the laws and regulations concerning the protection of personal information including Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan (hereafter "Personal Information Protection Act") and our privacy policy as stipulated below to ensure the appropriate handling of personal information.

1. Obtaining Personal Information
SLO will obtain personal information to the extent necessary to achieve the aims specified in 2 below, through legal and fair methods.

2. Purpose of Use of Personal Information
SLO will use personal information in relation to the provision of legal services, as well as for the recruitment and personnel and labor management of legal professionals and other staff, to the extent necessary to achieve the following aims.
●Handling legal matters and the information management, information collection, sending of documentation, etc. and correspondence relating to such legal matters
●Sending information on lectures, seminars, etc., newsletters, e-mail newsletters, letters of greeting, and other information about legal services
●Responding to various inquiries
●Communications with regard to the recruitment of legal professionals and staff, as well as screening of such applicants
●Carrying out the tasks necessary for the personnel and labor management of SLO’s legal professionals and staff
●Carrying out business associated with the above, smoothly and appropriately

3. Use of Personal Information for Other Purposes
SLO will use personal information for the above purposes only and, except for cases where permissible by law and regulations or when the purposes of use are notified or published separately, will not use it for any other purpose without the consent of the person in question.

4. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
SLO will not provide personal information to a third party without the consent of the person in question, unless permissible based on laws and regulations.

5.  Implementation of Safety Control Measures for Personal Information
SLO appropriately manages personal information, taking the necessary and appropriate measures to prevent against its leakage, loss or damage.

6. Disclosure, Correction, Suspension of Use etc. of Personal Information
In case that SLO receives a request from a person for the disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, etc., or notification of the purpose of use, of their personal information which we retain, based on the Personal Information Protection Act, then we will act appropriately in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act, after we have verified that the request is from the person in question. 7. Changes to the Privacy Policy
SLO may make changes to this Privacy Policy when necessary. When changes have been made to the Privacy Policy, it will be posted to the website.
